New Short Film "Untied" Coming March 2017

"When the most valuable of bonds are tested, all it takes are the smallest things to remind you why it's all worth it..." - Director Hassaan Abdus Saboor

From first time director Hassaan Abdus Saboor comes a short film centered around the relationship of two life long friends that lose their way. This short film is unique in many ways. Early on the director wanted to form an all-female cast in the pursuit of empowering young ladies in the cinematic world. The short film also features no dialogue! It is completely silent with all focus pointed to both visuals and sound. Something most first-time directors wouldn't even consider.

The short film "Untied" was completely shot in Williamsnburg, James City Country, and Yorktown with much of the shots coming from the locally well known Yorktown River State Park. Short Film Initiative (Director Hassaan Abdus Saboor's upcoming production company) and ID Production Studios (Isaac F. Davis' (President) Upcoming Production, Media, and Distribution Company) worked in close proximity with one another to deliver the best-produced film both companies have created to date.

Director of Photography Michael Lemley (President of World Productions) lent his impeccable expertise to make every frame sleek and smooth throughout the film. Additional shots were also filmed by IDPS President Isaac F. Davis. Both of which had no access to professional grade production rigs, dollies, or gimble stabilizers.

IDPS Releases New Short Documentary "Death With Dignity" For C-Spans 2016 Student Cam Competition

"Death With Dignity"

ID Production Studios in partnership with World Productions and Short Film Initiative have released a new short documentary that deals with the voluntary termination of life. "Death with Dignity" or "Physician Assisted Suicide" is the philosophical concept that a terminally ill patient should have the right to end his or her life at their own will. This is through certain medication approved by a physician. The goal of the short documentary is to ask the question, is this a human right, secondly is this a states rights issue or a federal rights issue, lastly what is the religious ramification of this concept and how does it effect different faiths and their take on life and death?

To date only four states have fully legalized "Death with Dignity" (Oregon, Washington, Vermont, and California) with one state requiring a court order (Montana). The other forty five states have yet to take a position. Even in the realm of politics, this subject has been rarely if not at all discussed. Current democratic presidential candidate Hilary Clinton stated "This is the first time I'v been asked that question" when asked by a man who was suffering from terminal colon cancer.

The short documentary is directed by Isaac F. Davis who also directed a previous documentary entitled "Roads and Bridges of the United States" for the same contest two years ago. That documentary won third place on the eastern coast of the United States back in 2014. This year Mr. Davis states, "I feel confident that the story presented in this film is by far the strongest story I have ever presented in the C-span Student Cam Competition."

The film is below for you to watch! Please comment & share with your friends and families! We would love to start a discussion on this topic!

A student video documentary that challenges presidential candidates of the 2016 presidential election to discuss or take a stance on allowing terminally ill patients to live or die at their will. This video documentary was entered in C-Span's National Student Cam competition of 2016.

World Productions Receives an Honorable Mention in C-Span's National Student Cam Contest of 2015

At ID Production Studios we are so excited and elated that one of our partners received an honorable mention for their work in the annual C-Span Student Cam video contest of 2015. C-Span (Cable-Statillite Public Affairs Network) is a network that hosts a national video contest every year challenging young people to hone their skills and talents as they respond to controversial and relevant questions that affect our country today. World Productions president Michael Lemley and his team (Kaylee Boger, Rachel Burch, and Sarah Lemley) created a video documentary on the Colonial Parkway found here in Virginia. This year alone there were over 2,280 entries! The team competed against some of the largest most competitive schools all the way from California to New York. We here at IDPS are so thrilled for their success! You can watch the full documentary below.
